I saw a diagram comparing it to the ipod mini...

the Ipod mini has longer battery life, can hold more songs, and is only slightly bigger...

In my opinion, if you get one, get the mini.

I agree with elf. Unless you really need the smaller size, don't bother with the nano while the price is still this high.

I heard the nano is very very easy to scratch, i guess the plastic coating on top sux. You cant buy a mini new anymore though, the nano replaced mini. I have a color ipod 20 gig. and it gets scratched easier than a mini, but i heard that a nano gets scratched much much worse and that some lcd screens were breaking in pockets. I saw one and its so thin it would make me be afraid i would just snap it in half.

you can buy the mini new, just not from apple. Have to hit a retailer
