It's track keeps turing to the north. Anymore and NO gets another drenching. It could get very nasty. At least it's already evacuated.

Noaa says could be a CAT 3 by Fri.. the Gulf is so warm and she's organizing herself and when she hits the gulf, that'll just make her stronger. If thats the case, then N.O. will prolly flood again and we will get some rough stuff.. it all depends on where it makes landfall.

I am glad to see though that N.O. isnt taking any chances and have already ordered 200 buses for evacuation just in case. Will be interesting to see just how responsive and organized they all will be this time.

With this morning's update, and yet we still have plenty of time before we really know exactly what Rita will do, we here in MS will just be threatened by the East side tornados and rain... If N.O. floods , we will more than likely get heavy rains and storm surges on our Coast, which will be devastating again, if you can get anymore devastating :/

However, where I am located exactly, just storms and tornado threats possible.
La will take the worst * other than wherever it makes Landfall*

You Houston and Galveston people and surrounding areas there, please start preparing supplies now in advance, just in case... prepare for several days of stuff if you are without power , water etc. And keep your eye on the daily updates from the National Hurricane Center

Yea and trying to increase to a 5 :/ My cousin in H-town has been trying to find a hotel room west of Houston and everything is booked up all the way to Waco O.o The local stations are discussing a voluntary evacuation of Houston starting tomorrow... imagine evacuating from the 4th largest city in the Nation.
Where she lives, she is an hour and a half East of Galveston... so no doubt she will get some rough stuff. They are in a really sturdy house but after seeing what happened here, even brick didnt withstand .

Henry, have your parents mentioned evacuating or making preparations?
