Lack of Appreciation

This REALLY pisses me off. I work for the public library and one thing we provide is free high-speed Internet access. Ok, so it's a T1, but for most people it's fast. I hate it when people come in and complain that they have to wait to get on (we only have 8 machines available to the public right now) or when their time is up. Some get violent and make all sorts of threats. I just go "meh" and send them on their way. Nothing's ever happened. Rarely will anyone say "thanks!" or show some appreciation. I'll be honest, the area my library is in isn't the most affluent. about 90% of the population here doesn't have the Internet, much less a PC that could go online. But they do have the latest cell phones with the most outrageous plans. It's quite sad because cell phones aren't allowed in here and they spend all day here waiting to get online to check their MySpace crap.

That's awful. I hate it how the poorest people always make the dumbest buying decisions. Happened all the time my first shift at CVS- someone who was obviously not in the money, with a flashy cell phone talking constantly, being rude when I couldn't find her stupid cigarettes. "No, not the pack, the box! The box, you moron!" What the hell's the difference?

No 40, that's a carton and a box. A pack comes without a filter, so you can smoke either end.

I have been informed by my roomate that packs do contain filters, the package is simply less rigid than a box, and that is the only difference.
