After playing video games for 50 hours straight the 28 year old dies.

i played counter strike for many years , and usually i spend no more than 30 to 40 minutes cuz it needs a lot attention and i really feel exhausted ...and you tell me 50 hours straight

thats insane .

He quit his job to spend more time playing games! Now that's dedication. At least he died doing something he enjoyed. Maximum respect to the ultimate gamer

I checked to see if there's a world record for longest time spent playing a game non stop (aparrently there isn't), but instead found this old news story - seems the South Koreans are a bit prone to suicide-by-games. He was later identified as Kim Kyung-jae.

I don't even understand how 50 hours could kill you, I've done 24 hours before, he drank some water right? There's gotta be something else going on there.

Stress..... there's been scientific studies into links between heart problems and computer games, with sports manager games coming out highest on the stress rating.

You link a combination of stress, exhaustion, and possibly a weak heart already (perhaps?) and it could quite easily do it.

he even took naps, something else was up.

Every one here has probably had a fever that ouldn't let thm sleep for like two days, and that's while the body is under attach.

50 hrs straight on a game and he died. What'd ya expect, taking gaming to the next level. I wonder if this has been recorded in the Guinnes Book of Records ...

Only 28 though, no much of a life eh. Deciding to play a game for 50hrs. Ah Well, some go, some dont
