It's scary to think what those could be used for. Imagine you find a baby in a stroller alone in the park, and you go to see if it's ok. Then it jumps out of the stroller and rips your head off..!!.. and it has red eyes.. and and shiny metal teeth. *shudder*

Oh great, thousands of nerds just ran into their mom's basement with her credit card and cordless phone, never to see the light of day for 6-8 weeks. "She's just shy", they'll tell their friends. KY jelly sales skyrocket!

I abhor AI, you know why? You see all these movies like terminator, where the robots get too big for their britches. All it takes is one little slipup by some scientist who thinks he's doing good, and its Terminator all over again.

I realize that there are benefits, but should we really be creating possible competitors? A facet of life is the desire to survive. Suppose that they thought that human existence threatened their survival? What would they do?

OK, this is kind of going into that dark side of ourselves, but they could make them all ages, shapes, sizes and colors for all of your needs!

My System

did you ever see "cherry 2000"?

was a sci fi movie about a future world where men simply bought robot wives.

i don't exactly know why, since there was still women.

anyhow, his robot (model number "cherry 2000") gets fried in the snow, so he hires a mercenary, (who happens to be a hot chick) to help him break into the wharehouse, and steal one of the same model, so he can insert her memory card, and have his wife back.

in the process, he falls in love with the real girl, and in the end, when he finds his robot, and inserts her card, he realizes how brainless she is, and sends her back inside for a soda, and abandons her there.

and then they fly away in a plane they found, using the spark plugs from her mustang to get it running.

it's almost sad, since she is unaware of the fact that she isn't real.

join us again next week, when we discuss another cheesy b movie

Nah. TV generally bores me, even when I was a kid. If I had to be inside I was either reading a book or sitting in front of the computer.

here's a picture of the star, which happens to be melanie griffith.

but, back to the topic at hand, if you take this new girl body idea, and combine it with some of the other current technologies, you'd already have something that was pretty scary.

Some people need to get out more, myself included.

I'm willing to bet sex with a doll will be nothing like the real thing for at least 20 years.
