I am using Fire Fox, it's the fastest but it cnnot load some WMP content.
So technilogicly I would have to crown netscape as the best browser at the moment. It has no troube reading anything and has tabbed browsing. I have an older computer for the moment and netscape preforms slowly on it. But if you got dome goodhardware I suggest you go with Netscape untill Fire Fox comes out with a browser that can emmulate IE like netscape can.

I guess it all depends on personal preference, but my favorite browser is Mozilla FireFox.
edit: I've never had any problem getting windows media player content to work in mozilla....plus, Netscape is so outdated. Last edited by Fox; 07-27-2005 at 11:40 AM. |

ahhh, i love programs like that. They need to add another check box to the end:
| | Add Netscape to your start menu | | Create Netscape shortcut on desktop | | Launch Netscape now | | Uninstall Netscape now

It's weird because technicaly netscape is better than FF but I just can't bring my self to use it. Has too much of a mac feel to it and I can't get over that it's still AOL.

Maxthon isn't a browser, its a shell for IE. So technically, you are just using IE with some added features.
And I prefer Firefox, but that's just me.

Tried FF but it seemed too strange after years of IE. Will try FF again soon cos I know it's the best really. |

I can't imagine living without tabs any more. I only use IE to watch WMP vids. FF doesn't support the ones that are in those little windows on the sites.

I like IE. But since winholes IE the most common security is a major concern using it. But personally i never ran into any problems with my windows nor IE. On the other hand to be on the safe side most browsers dont use some features that IE offers.

After spending some time in the security forum I will not, ever, go back to IE. I used Netscape frequently years ago when it first came out & really enjoyed it. Anymore it seems like it's just become a mamoth beast of a browser & takes forever to do anything on my system.
I immediately loved FireFox when I started using it. The tabbed browsing is amazing! (I too can't imagine what I did before tabs), and the customizability is great. It's many times faster at loading webpages than IE & downloads are blazing fast. I never knew what a bottle neck IE was creating in download times. My only beef is that it's slower to start up initially then IE (though faster than Netscape by a wide margin), but only by a matter of about 5 seconds. If Mozilla keeps putting out products like this, they'll turn me into a fanboy!

when yuor waiting for it to pop up it doesn't feel like it's straining you're computer though. When I open norton it takes a whie to pop up but I can hear the gears grinding in my machine. With FF it takes a little bit but it searches for the progam quietly.
