Supreme Court nominee John G. Roberts Jr

Is anyone following the brouhaha over Roberts? I'm not, which kind of surprises me. This is probably the 1st or 2nd most lasting thing W will do these last years and I have little interest. Strange... a few minutes goes by...My feeling is that he'll be easily confirmed so why bother. All of the talk is just posturing...

Does anyone have an opinion on him?

He'll get passed easily. The next one will be the big fight because it's the one that will be remembered in the next election. The next nomination everyone will go nuclear.

he's fine. He has said some things about abortion not being intended by the writers of the constitution, but he only said it once. Plus his wife is an abortion actavist. He's a conservative, but who else is bush going to nominate

. He's a smart choice and will pass easily, but he wil get a good grilling by ted.
