Mexican food. Not your cheap nasty taco bell crap, but fresh authentic mexican food. And in L.A. you can get some of the best Bar-B-Q anywhere. Nobody can burn like we do down here.

Pie and Mash with Liquor..... not the alcoholic kind, it's some sort of weird green sauce. Oh and Fish & Chips. Apart from that, I don't think England has much in the way of regional cuisine to speak of. Nothing that tastes nice anyway.

Green Bean Casserole

And Buckeyes, not the nut, but a chocolate and peanut butter thing. Like a Reese's , but way better.

yorkshire puddings, cornish pasties, pea fritters (in my local fish and chip shop, and they are fantastic if you've never tried one). pork pies (come form the fox hunting tradition in GB), welsh tea cakes, jellied eels, the sandwich, (as in earl of - the inventor), bubble and sqeak - toad in the hole - ploughmans lunch - shepherds pie, and what about a good old english breakfast, worcestershire sauce, Hp sauce (the brown sauce from the Houses of Parliment hence HP), lancashire hotpot, and there are more but i think ive made my point Reekorl.

These days though you do see people still going for there traditional Sunday roast chicken in many towns around the country - although KFC never has the sprouts and gravy that most crave for.

Plenty of Mexican food/tex-mex, plenty of bbq (but it all stinks, I like my dad's best *who doesn't *) not really any seasoning when the food is cooked, thats why I heavily salt/pepper the food, lotta seafood, lotta fried food ...
But I also spend plenty of time in Louisiana so:

Boudin, cracklins, crawfish, shrimp, crabs, jambalya, gumbo, crawfish etoufee, red beans and rice, rice and gravy, tabasco ........

Houston was deemed the fattest city in the US. Lots of good /different food to choose from... I do miss the variety of everything...
