I love bottle rockets, esp if you shoot them off into the water. Oh and there is this one thing that looks just like a firecracker. You light it and throw it at somebody and all it does is fizz and change colors. It scares the heck outa people.

www.fireworks.com

It varies. You can buy rockets, motors/tubes, cakes/repeaters, etc... Then they have different effects and different load sizes.

They can sell fireworks real early in Florida because the stores sell them. Here in Cali the firework companies rent these booths to non-profit organizations like churches, or private parties. This provides a great service to the community, unlike the evil Florida way.

But I guess if they had booths in Florida they would get blown away by a hurricane or soaked. Nothing and nobody (except legislators) can stop fireworks in Cali. We can blow things up in an earth quake but your out a luck in a hurricane

sorry for kinda rambling on at the end there

Actually, they have perminate fireworks places here. Year around you can buy them. About 2 or 3 weeks before the 4th though you will see stands pop up all over the place. There are also some brick-n-motor places that only open around New Years and the 4th.

I make it a habbit whenever I buy them not to buy from tents though. Chances are they don't keep the fireworks in the best conditions, and this is our rainy season. Don't really want to take that chance.

is the humidity as bad up where you are? I think your up at the top half right?

I guess for your climate it does make a lot of sense to keep em in doors, those booths usualy get snatched up by right churches anyways, like they need any more money. Those pastors are ballin on the building fund.

Look at the product catalog. From there you can see under which category they fall; black cat stuff, sparklers, assortments etc. Or where do you live at? Because you might have fireworks stands near where you live, and you can go there to ask the people about them and which are the most fun. If you like to mess around, there is this one that looks just like a firecracker except the wrapping is striped, instead of solid. But you throw it near people and it scares the heck out of them, but it doesn't explode. Then there are bottle rockets, which shoot up into the air and explode. But you know bottle rockets...

I think its bad. I live just north of Tampa, which is about mid Florida. But I'm close to the Gulf too, so that doesn't help.

The cost depends upon a lot of things. The type of firework, the effects, etc... I prefer cakes/repeaters the most. Basically what that is, is a multi shot firework that shoots into the air and bursts open into different effects/colors. The Emerald City is a great cake that is cheap. I think it is $12.99. Nice effects and really loud bursts. I shot one off last night and you could hear it echo down the lake.

They have a video section at the site. The videos don't do some of the fireworks justice though. I think its kinda poor video and doesn't show all of the show.

I have a couple of bottle rockets (illegal w/o permit in the NJ) that I've been waiting to fire off.

Whoa, fireworks.com sells punk! That stuff rocks harder than fireworks do.

I love illegal fireworks. That was all I fired off last year...(with the exception of a couple of little ones, maybe)

Bottle rockets are awesome. I found a little foam airplane, used some leftover fuse, tied two bottle rockets together, and put them on the plane. It took off and we never saw it again.

When I first got my bottle rockets, I stuck some straight into the dirt to see what would happen...it made little craters
