Question about creating an internet radio channel
Hi everyone,
My friends and I have decided to create our very own online radio channel. I have all the tools and everything, but I need some advice before starting. What do I do if I want to use an artist's song? I know you have to ask them, but like what exaclly do I do? Do I e-mail their agent? Do I e-mail the actual artist? What I really need is some pointers on how to start out on getting songs for my channel's "playlist". Please don't respond saying "just take their song", because this is wrong and I really want to make this 100% legal. Thank you, Dragon31 |

Use one of these services :
and i dont think you have to pay the artists , read the contract with these internet streaming radios : Here are some of the well-known Internet radio servers: http://www.shoutcast.com , http://www.live365.com , http://www.radio-locator.com/ , http://www.web-radio.fm/

I use Shoutcast. But they have a legal notice that warns you of legal stuff relating to music stations... So I am pretty sure you really gotta get permission first. If so, how does it work? Do you pay them or do they pay you? lol, stupid question but I'm not really sure.

I am trying a new program called my streamer , amazing stuff
you can stream a folder from your pc , and wherever you go (other country, other city) you log on to your account and listen to your own music that is playing in your original pc , and of course you connect through your ip + login user +pass . if anyone wanna try it and want to connect to my stream radio to listen ,pm me for the password .
