Legalize it!!!!!

I have decided to start a poll regarding whether marijuana should be legalized. If you wish to remain anonymous you may but if you would like to state the reason you voted the way that you did, it would be much welcomed. I love a good debate. I will tell you right now I voted to legalize it and once people start giving their opinion I will be happy to file you in on my reasons. Please don't lock this and please make your responses intelligent so we can have a good debate.

I may contradict myself for saying this, but I'm not for it. I can see in some cases for medical reason, but for general I'm not really into it. I don't see any of the benifits outweighing the negatives. Sorry.

This could make my head get big.

Which is worse booze or pot?... BOOZE! ultimatlly...in terms of devistation. Crimes committed under the influ...etc..If we say yes to booze, and allow people to make the choice there to well do whatever then yes Mari-J should be just as legal. And yes it can be benificial for ill people mind and body. A couple drinks can help rid the blood of all the greasy residue from the foods we all eat. ...I have to shut down here...too involved...anything can be abused, nothing should be ...salt, for instance can kill.:bandit:

I would like to see marijuana legalized. I don't personally smoke it anymore .. and even then it was recreational use. I don't see MJ as a gateway drug as some have proposed. Like has been mentioned .. anything can be abused, from sugar to salt, to booze and sex. Its because some things have been considered taboo for so long that we refuse to change opinions. Does marijuana lead to petty crime? Sure.. does alcohol lead to car accidents? Yes.. could MJ lead to car accidents? Yes... At any moment darn near anything could cause something *bad* to happen, the question lies in whether legalization would benefit the human population (in this case Americans but it could be generalized for the world) ... I believe that recreational use or medical use if recreational wasn't an option should be ok.. the benefits atleast in the short term have been proven. Much like booze and smokes and salt and all the harmful things in the world.. it comes down to moderation and self control really.. so if people could "handle" it .. legalize it ya know.. and tax it.. so that atleast not only are those who choose to use it getting their benefits whether real or perceived and the gov't is making a little extra chedda on the side for the benefit of all :)

I don't use drugs, nor do I plan too, but I feel they should legalize it. I do believe alcohol is far worse a drug than weed.
