Wylie man beaten to death for asking teen to stop speeding

WYLIE - Police say a 28-year-old Wylie man was beaten to death by a group of teens all because he asked them to stop speeding near his home.

Since June, Jonathan Bird lived on South Third Street with his fiancé, Coti Duer, and cared for her three kids like they were his own.

"What these kids did was senseless," Duer said. "He he didn't fight back because they were kids."

Bird had just returned home from a fishing trip Saturday night with Duer's oldest son when the altercation happened.

it's really sad, but also very common nowadays. It seems there's one a day now; kids attacking/killing anyone for the slightest reason. Unfortunately, until governments get off their fat a$$es and allow the police to do their jobs properly, it will continue.

The one thing I've now learnt the had way though - If I get attacked by a gang of kids (again), I won't 'hold-back' cos they're kids, I'll be after blood and broken bones.

If our police won't provide justice and protection, then it's up to us to do so.

Very sad but certainly common these days..
But such people always pay the price because the one who does wrong always pays the price..
