Re: Chin ups

I haven't done any for about 10 years since I pulled the tendons at my elbow .. Did try a again about a year ago but immediately felt pain so I didn't push it.

Before I injured myself I had worked myself up to doing about 5 - 6, starting by grasping the bar with my hands & hanging with my feet above the floor and when raising myself ensuring that my chin went above the bar every time. I would do this several times a day having place the bar above the height of the Kitchen doorway straddled between two two walls running in the same line as the bar. That way every time I visited the kitchen for a coffee I also did my chin-ups on the way in!
Coming back out with a hot coffee I erred on caution and didn't try any.

Re: Chin ups

Living in the UK, i do 'chin-ups' every day - I read the news about what our so-called government is doing, shake my head and say: "Oh well, keep your chin up...."

Re: Chin ups

Bravo Boy & Engineer Babar, perhaps you don't realise it but you aren't supposed to post consecutively, a 2nd post (without a response from another member) constitutes "double posting" . There are exceptions to this rule but it normally means that something IMPORTANT was forgotten or updated outside of the allotted 30 minute "EDIT" time period.

@SABL .. I assume that he means per session or sitting

There are a many definitions of a period..different for a vibrating body, different for a football match, and so on different for particular things.

But as far as working out is concerned, a period means the time in which a person can do a particular exercise in a consecutive manner. It is directly proportional to a person's stamina. I hope this makes the things clear..
