Slavery

In school we always talk about how slavery does not exist anymore in North America and back then you really believe it. As we get older and more wise some things become much more obvious. If you don't know the world is controlled by what is called Central Bank. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_bank

This is accurate.

This is why we are forced to work for cash and everything revolves around money.

Yes, we are slaves.

heh, don't believe everything you see - especially on the internet. Wikipedia is open source, anyone can edit it/ write in it. Meaning, that has a high chance of bullock.

Re: Slavery

I'll be blunt: live with it. The point of society (IMO) is to compete and struggle to rise to the top of whatever you're doing, and without money how can we do that?

Socialism is a solution, but personally I wouldn't want to live with everyone else around me being the same. So I believe that capitalism with minimal to no government intervention in any aspect of life is the best way. It has its problems, but so does every other form of society.

Sorry if anyone took any offense from this. I honestly don't mean any.

Re: Slavery

Your opinion is appreciated and valued.

I'm against socialism, but I'm not materialistic and value the importance of not letting money or business take priority over personal life.

A long time ago there was no money. You would probably have worked your fields, hunted some game, caught some fish or fowl then tried to find someone who wanted some of those items in exchange for things that you wanted. If you were lucky you found a few people, some who wanted your stuff and some who had the stuff you wanted but not being the same people .. so you would try to get something in exchange from one group of people which you could trade to the others to get what you wanted. Then came barter and markers, where someone "traded" giving and taking markers against goods since it made things far easier to get what you wanted to buy or sell.
Now we have money .. you don't have to work the land, you don't have to hunt, fish or grow crops to barter with. you just have to work.
Don't knock it! It evolved out of sweat and toil, something which modern generations will not understand, unless of course they work the land !

An elephant.

I found an X-RAY machine on there once, it was a trip since I believe that's illegal.
