Broken Computer= Bios mallfuction

I have a friends whom father Insists that every time a computer problem appears on his computer screen regardless of what it actually is he will go to the Bios and play around in the Bios. in 3 years he has burnt 3 motherboard's (not on fire), made one explode (fire), changed computer 4 times not including the replaced motherboards, and well fryed atleast 2 of every part in the computer.

He does not trust any one to fix it saying that they will blame something like a program that is missing but he say's he know the real problem it the bios.

i don't wish for help on his simply thought it would be funny to share this with you. and probably make a few of you laughs.

True true. But to set a fire off with the BIOS takes MAJOR(bad) skills!

Re: Broken Computer= Bios mallfuction

Yeah, even a cheap PCB needs to go over 100C to catch fire. Maybe he overvolted something and a capacitor blew? Then the sparks might have caught something on fire.

This just makes me cringe. How could he make it that bad?

Well just make sure he doesn't go on your computer.

Re: Broken Computer= Bios mallfuction

I'd be tempted to password-protect the BIOS, for when he next decides to play....
