Re: Do you think marijuana should be legal?
Bong and vaporizer accomplish similar things: they deliver the active ingredient, but filter out the harmful smoke and carcinogens. From my understanding the bong will deliver more of the flavor of the pot, while the vaporizer removes most of the flavor but greatly increases the potency. They're safer than pot brownies or other baked baked foods (catch it?
) because the dosing is more sure. Baking marijuana can either lessen the effect of THC, or greatly multiply it. So a single pot brownie can either have almost no effect, or an effect equivalent to a half a dozen joints. So a bong or vaporizer is safer. All three are safer than smoking marijuana (or tobacco). You can't get around the fact that inhaling burning plant matter is not good for your throat and lungs, and can induce cancer in those areas either through direct action of carcinogens, or through damaging the cells there and making them more susceptible to cancer in general. Also keep in mind that bongs and vaporizers also work with tobacco, and have the same benefit, health-wise. However use of tobacco in this way is extremely rare, not unheard of, but the bong's association with marijuana and the huge availability of cigarettes means that the overwhelming majority of tobacco users will use cigarettes, and thus all the health issues are present.

Re: Do you think marijuana should be legal?
I think it should remain illegal. I recently watched a program where they pointed out that children on it had their learning ability impaired also some of the strains of it today are much stronger. Some people have psychotic episodes as a result of it I know of one guy who is affected in this way and they said it was because of the strength of the weed today and as far as the medical benefits and I'm not saying there aren't any, why not leave that to the scientists to work out so that they can get it right. They have been doing that for years. Even with prescription drugs there are good effects and sometimes there are bad effects so for that reason we should only take something if we need it not to just try it.

Re: Do you think marijuana should be legal?
I think Holland have it about right - legal for personal use and sold in coffe shops. Apparently the drug trade has decreased and less people use it now - they liked the thrill of not being caught with illegal drugs.
Only problem is, I can't see this working in countries like USA ![]() Those that it could help medically should be allowed it in my opinion, but then surely you would have to legalise other drugs that have a similar effect to keep laws consistant? |
