KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- A man is suing the Kissimmee Police Department for an arrest over mints. When officers pulled Donald May over for an expired tag, they thought the mints he was chewing were crack and arrested him.

May told Eyewitness News they wouldn't let him out of jail for three months until tests proved the so-called drugs were candy.

May said he was just minding his business, driving home from work, when a Kissimmee police officer pulled him over near 192.

Wow, that is stupid. The horrible thing is that it could've happened to anyone. Still, he shouldn't have driven with expired plates and gotten pulled over in the first place.

Coke is snorted... crack is shot up or smoked... however a tactic many users and sellers of crack do is eat the crack when they get hit by cops in the hopes of recovering them later...

But they dont crunch the crack when they ingest it... it would destroy the protective shell over the drug...

They should make those cops snort some pepper. Sneezing and a little pain won't do them no harm.

Actually, cops get peppered during training to build up resistance to it.
