BREAKING NEWS: Nestle issues massive cookie dough recall, E.coli fears

Thursday, Nestlé was notified by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) of a possible link between reported illnesses caused by E.coli and the consumption of uncooked cookie dough. Nestlé immediately initiated a voluntary recall of refrigerated and frozen Nestlé Toll House cookie dough as a precautionary measure.

Doesn't it say on the package not to eat raw?

only because it has raw egg and not because of the contaminate found as in this case. however, imo raw cookie dough tastes a whole lot better than the finished product.

I keep telling my mom not to cook the huge batches of cookies she makes, but sadly she bakes them any ways.
