.....

I hope my keyboard doesn't short-circuit from laughter-tears in it

Re: Anyone for a cruise?

@ werebo - a few years ago a fellow TAFE (technical and further education) teacher I worked with hated computers, didn't want to use them but was being forced to learn and use a new roll-marking software the institute had implemented. He had consistently refused to use it and had come to the attention of the higher ups who oredered the tech support people to sit with him and walk him (forcibly if necessary) through how to use it. He had been having a number of personal issues at the same time - marriage breakdown etc.
At some point during his "education" he began to cry from the stress of this and his issues and he cried that much with his head down near the keyboard that it did just as you feared - he shorted the keyboard out
Funny thing is that not all that long after this - in an attempt to get his life back on track he left TAFE teaching, moved interstate, bought the biggest and best computer he could afford and went for training in graphic design (he and I were teaching Ceramics - pottery at TAFE)
Unfortunately he contracted an agressive, malignant brain tumour and died not long after this.
RIP Max
