Twisted old people driving

should old people be allowed to drive ?...... HELL NO !

seems like in the past few weeks i have had a lot of old people pull out in front of me and then have the guts to look at me like its my fault. the temtation just to hit the gas instead of the brake and to plow them down the road a few 100 feet is hard to control. i say...... if they can't see over the **** steering wheel..... they don't need to be driving. and OF course it always seems like they have these hot rod cars and they only do 25 in a 50 mph zone......don't let all that power throw ya for a loop now.

AND...... do you think anyone of them knows what the hell a blinker is for......NO........ hey it's the little lever on the LEFT of the steering wheel...the one that makes the little clicking noise when you DO remember to turn it on.

Jonathan, Im with you....my first (and hopefully only ) accident was when this older, older lady came out a one way street, going the wrong way at least 40 in 25mph zone and crumbled my whole front to pieces...

and then, maybe 2 days ago, this oooold guy tried to pass me...It was around 7:00am, I was driving through a school zone and this guy apparently thought that speed limit of 15mph in school zone does not apply to him ! He did not get in the front of me due to the fact there was at least 3 vehicles ahead of me...so he just went back in the line....

Nothing against old people dough, just the way some of them drive !!!!

peace :D

...until we are old right??:tongue2:

sadly driving represents freedom to alot of the old people...and that is what they have left...there should be a cut off point..some state reqire a driving test after 65 or 70...that should be nation wide...but while were at it....lets raise the driving age to 25...if thoes damm kids dont think they are going to live forever and take more chance then any resonable human should be allowed...

Seriously I write more tickets to the 18-22 group...that have the car and insurance paid for by mommy and dady...and more power at thier feet then some third world nations... then the 70 year old going to the grocery store to get his can of tuna fish...

man i am getting old...I was one of thoes punks a#$ that thought they would live forever...:D

ok let the bashing begin....and yes there are exception in EVERY GROUP....:bandit:

I see your point Doonz. I do think you have to look at the area though. Where I live it is mostly older people There are so many 55+ communities, I can't even count them on both my hands and toes. ;) When you hear about someone hitting the gas instead of the break and going through a store or house because of it. It has always been a older person. Now I'm not saying young drivers are not a problem. I honestly don't see how they can drive with their seats so far back and low. A lot of things I don't understand that my younger friends do. And I flat out tell them. But for the area that I'm at, most of the driving is done by older people, so they are the cause for most of it too. Its always fun to see someone stop in the center lane of a three lane (one way) highway so they can make the turn they just past.

Take it from someone who will refuse to ride with my 90 yr old step dad.. NO NO NO  what I can't believe is they renewed his DL without any questions asked!!! But I agree it is oineof the last issues of freedom for thm and I do feel sorry for them.. itmust be terribly hard to try and accept something like that.
But it doesn't take away the fact that you don't want to be on the road with them! We need to make a lane just for them , all by themselves ;)

Doonz, I take it you are or were a policeman???

Drupy, I can drive you around..but you better get some kind of racing harness and airbags in the back...hehe :tongue2:

but anyways, like Doonz mentioned, 18-22 are really bad too...last week I almost got run over by some punk in wannabe hooked up escort...but theres exceptions there too..like my 16yr old bro...he has common sense and he uses it on and off the road. Good for him. :D

hell mass is fun to drive through and in, no fault insurance makes it so great. it's cool to be doing 90 mph in the driving lane on I-95 and have a cop pass you in the passing lane doing 100 and not even care.

people in mass have the right ideas about driving:

"LEAD......FOLLOW......OR GET YOUR A** RUN OVER"
