The real Brrr month

If you think it's cold where you live you haven't felt anything. I'm from Milwaukee where it is exactly 0 degrees right now and that's a warm front compared to my neighbors to the north. Embarrass Minnesota reached a low of -54 degrees today and that's with no windchill. That's colder than Fairbanks Alaska whose at -29 degrees. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=419196

Other side of the statre, further from those warming great lakes, it is - 8 right now, and that's warmer than we have been, at this time of day, in about three days.

They say it will warm some tomorrow..perhaps a high of 27; with that comes some snow.

Been through extended periods of 116 degrees, been through periods of 20 below.

I'll take the 20 below.

Yea, we'll be warming up a bit and we'll be getting snow as well, but I look forward to the snow. I'm going skiing saturday so it'll be nice to have fresh snow.
This current cold spell hasn't been so bad here. Sure it's cold but the wind has been pretty calm during this spell and as you know that's the killer.
I lived in Tulsa for two years and like you I'd take the cold over the heat any day of the week.

-54 might be a different story though.

I'll take the heat, I can't stand waking up at 7:00 to go to work and have to drive in an absolutely frozen car half way to work waiting for it to warm up. I don't mind the cold, just the runny nose, chapped lips, and extreme discomfort that follows it.

I am learning that the older I get, the more I hate the cold. 13 years ago, we got our all time low of -30. Our all time high is 103. Oh well, at least we don't have hurricanes or earthquakes or volcanoes or tsunami to deal with.

I'll take 103 over -30 anyday. Perfect temperature for swimming, or cliff jumping (into water of course)

I'll take fall any time. 65-75 temps during the day, 40's at night. In my opinion, October is the best month of all.

I agree with bry... we just got our first few really cold days this week (New Jersey) today is 15 (cold for here) and wind chill is 0. It's supposed to get colder over the next couple days. We did have one nice day earlier in Jan... it got up to 70

I'm ready for the spring... I have my golf clubs all ready to go, but until then I'll play Tiger Woods golf. It helps my mind think of nice weather!

Milwaukee made it up to 18 today but it felt colder than yesterdays 0. Now it's snowing out so I'm pretty pleased about that and the current temp is 21.
