feeling old?

Wish you could go back to school? See how you would do on the NEW SAT test (available for the first time this year).

SAT

Not an accurate depiction of what your grade would be, only 6 problems, all simple calculus...real simple as far as calculus is concerned.
(I managed to get all 6 problems right, but I just passed calculus last semester so everything is still fresh)

I took a college credit calculus class back in high school (when Reagan was still President). I majored in history and tested out of any math! Surprisingly, I got 4 correct!

I didn't take calc., I didn't pass algebra. My last day spent in high school was in 1973! So I was somewhat guessing here. 5 out of 6 correct. They said Excellent! I still don't think I could learn C++ though.

6/6

That's basic adding and multiplying as far as I'm concerned, not really calculus (unless you mean the whole f(x) and tangent line thing, but that's simple, but I'm also in a high school calculus class now)

I hope I do good on my SAT next year.

theres a difference? (i'm intriqued now)

I (and most people I know) would use the term yank to refer to an american from the united states... I didn't realise there was a distinction...?

In the American Civil War (1848????) The northerners were referred to by the southerners as "yankee doodles" or "incredible fool" basically. The ever cheerful and industrious north took it to heart, even writing a marching song called "yankee doodle"

So the northerners are(were) the yanks, and the southerners are(were) well, I don't know, since my state wasn't around for the civil war.

However, it is very customary for the English to call the Americans "Yanks". I think even the PM does it. So the term is not meant to offend the southerners, its just a quirky English things. (perhaps a bit like calling the English "brits"???)

And if AS involves Derivatives and Integration, then its the UK version of calculus.

DD, I think we're called "Rebs" or "Rebels"! :D

I would think Maths AS would be equivalent to US AP classes....
