My Skydive video

Firstly, thanks Fox for helping me find the right software in this thread:

I went to Florida in late '03 and did an Accelerated Freefall Skydiving course. I paid a small fortune (on top of the large fortune the course cost) to get my second jump filmed. It's taken me this long to get around to converting the DVD into MPG format. I was unable to decipher the software well enough to shrink the file size down to a manageable size. So I ended up with a 58MB MPG lol. After removing the audio, it's only ........ only 27 MB. So if you feel like having a look at it, go do something else while it downloads

I don't expect many of you guys to look at it ..... I just wanted to finally post it somewhere

where did you post this file ? some ftp server ? i am interested in creating a ftp server , like cuteftp , or something like that , and my pc will be server (download and upload)

Downloading it as I write this. Personally, I'd much rather be the one flying the plane, since I'd rather die in the comfort of my own cockpit :)

holmes , i like to watch skydiving .......on tv .

I dont think i ll ever do it , i like to feel my foot in the ground ,i hate traveling by plane ,that tells you everything .

This is easy to do, you could probably do it in less than an hour (minus setting up individual accounts)

it's such a rush ...... but I understand what you're saying. Having jumped a few times, I have no urge to go back and do it again.

yay ,it s DONE .i set up cerberus ftp server ,and added no-ip function ,so my server is ftp:mimo2005.myftp.org
and it s running . and check the software of the month (security news)that will be my next topic .

Holmes, I think you must have a touch of mental illness there, my friend. What else would explain jumping out of a perfectly good plane?

Great video footage, bet the audio makes it even better.

LOL ..... maybe just a little craziness

It's something I wanted to do when I was 18, but couldn't afford to do until I was 30. I must admit I was still a little inebriated from the night before, which made it seem like a much better idea than it did the previous morning, sober. It's a real shame about the audio .... but I felt that noone would EVER bother d/l a 57MB clip lol.

Sorry, I still haven't gotten around to the last video that was posted. I'll get to to it though. I've thought about skydiving, but I am not much one for heights.

hmm there seems to have been some talk about FTPs? how can i go about setting up an FTP? or should i post somewhere else within the forum? and if so where at? thank you.

Go to http://www.cerberusftp.com/, download, set up, then go to http://www.no-ip.org and get a free subdomain and point it at your computer's IP address. Its slightly more complicated than that, but that's the basic gist.

first part -

awesome thanks for sharing about the ftpness. will get right on top of that.

but unfortunately the no-ip.comr or .org does not work. this is upsetting. any other sites that offer the same capabilities?

second part -

i saw the video... and i am still satisfied with my own feet on the ground the only time i want them off the ground is only a few feet or so and that i know i can safely land back on them without the aide of some piece of nylon cloth.
