First major poker winnings!

So I have been playing online poker for 2 years and usually just play cheap $5.50 sit n gos but Saturday night at the last minute I decided to play a $6.60 buyin with 611 entires and somehow managed to place in 2nd and won $450.51 USD. I have won 2nd once before in a cheaper game and got $75, so this is amazing for me.

Oh btw, I live in Canada so it is actually is $544.89 CAD.

Just had to tell you all!

Do we really have to brag about and possibly encourage the younger generation to partake in on-line gambling?

Whilst it might be something to brag about when one wins, the other side of the coin is that gullible young people start to copy in the hope of picking up some money for nothing too!

The internet makes it so easy for one to sit back in comfort and spend spend spend should the urge take place .. and if using credit cards or similar to pay then there is little feeling or loss of immediate cash in the pocket. That comes when the bill comes in to pay for the "anticipated" winnings.

sorry for the downside but a lot of people have a serious problem with gambling in any form .. I am not one of them .. probably because I am paranoid about becoming one ..
