Re: The disappearing car door

That is BAAAADDD! I need one for my Roadmaster...oh that's right it doesn't have doors

Want a quick story about car vs bicycle? I am rolling up to corner of side street getting ready to cross main boulevard. (i'm the bicycle rider). Car comes up behind me and intends to turn right onto main Blvd and cuts his turn too close to me that I couldn't hop off the bike to put my right foot down. ( I'm short so when I come to intersection right next to the curb I can set my foot flat on top of the curb without having to hop off the bike.) So I have to hop off and straddle the bike. The car barely clips my leg, but DOES run my left foot over with its rear tire. As the car is continuing his turn and starting to drive off, I wave my arms in the air yelling "HAY, YOU RAN OVER MY *BLEEPING* FOOT!".

I saw the driver look in his rear view mirror but he just kept on going. Don't ask me why but I don't think I suffered much more that a bruised foot. Maybe need some sort of "roll bar" idea around the flanks.

But those doors are awesome , wouldn't that freak the boys at the Country Club out?
