thats the Pythagorean therum or something like that isn't it?
I freaking hated math ... I have yet to ever use anything I learned after AlgI in a real life situation.

Ya its the pythagorean Theorem
Its a^2 + b^2 = c^2 C in this case being X You think you don't use any math in real life, but trust me, it'll probably come up so many times, and you'll be glad you know your math! Like what happened to Der Robe here, a normal event required the use of math :D |

I agree with DaTruMasta - it's the pythagorean theorem .
OT - I went to take an aptitude test years ago for a job opening. A lot of the test was just like the SAT. I aced the reading, but got to the very basic math, just past long division, and knew that there were very easy forumlas for figuring out geometry but could not remember what any of them were! Very frustrating. I recently picked up a workbook at a bookstore on reinforcing basic math - how to do simple algebra, simple geometry, simple statistics. It IS very helpful in "real life".
