Car Key Device Blocks Cell Phone Use While Driving
Quote:
Seems like a decent plan, until you think about the fact that any teen with half a brain could figure out ways around it. Turn off the phone's bluetooth, or if it requires communication with the phone to work at all (and if you lose your phone, then what?), use an old de-activated phone with the key, use it only until the car is started up and then turn off bluetooth, etc... Not too hard. My family has at least 5 old cell phones laying around doing nothing. I know at least 1 of them has bluetooth. The only way that would really work is if they made it where the car wouldn't run if it sensed cellphone frequency waves... haha. It would be a very large paperweight in that case.
