ah patricia piccinini's work - have you seen these in real life sobeit? they are so incredibly realistic, her work was at the local regional gallery not so long ago.
My year 8 visual arts class (13-14 year olds) have been studying her works as part of an Extraordinary Creatures unit of work - they hated them at first - "ew, gross", "they're all wrinkled and hairy" etc - then after a while and doing some reading "they're kinda cute" "they look kinda sad and lonely"

Actually, funny you mention that, I'm into 3D Animation, it's actually what I plan on majoring in. It's truly a work of art, that "disgusting" pig is.

Undocked - her work is real life sculpture not computer generated she uses various materials to create these beings she does do some work in video and photography as well
