Re: Space Station residents to drink recycled urine
I think its time for them to come home, enough is enough already. Time to quit putting all that junk up there. Do they have a craft to bring them home or are they totally dependent on someone comin up there and givin em a ride? What if some crazie group disables or destroys our shuttles, then what? Let's get our planet ship shape and then go mess up the rest of the universe.

Re: Space Station residents to drink recycled urine
Well, that's good. Just picturing them waitin on JTP and Dr. Glas to come jettin up there (after a few side trips of course).............got any duct tape? lol
humm wonder how often they fire up that bad boy. Would hate for them to get in and find the battery is dead........ok ok am sure mankind is better for the research and IT satelites etc. etc...... Just curious, can you see the station from down here? w/a childs telescope for example? Last edited by Cathy95820; 11-15-2008 at 04:37 PM. |

You need a clear sky with little or no ambient lighting around (street-lights, house lights etc.) and you need to know exactly where to look (Google might be of help, there ). All you can see is what appears to be a bright(ish) star moving at approx. the same apparent speed as a very high aircraft. Any form of magnification will show more of the station, depending on the quality of the lenses. There's several other large satellites visible too - with the same limitations

Re: Space Station residents to drink recycled urine
good point (knowing where to look) lol....its hard here as there ARE lots of street lights ...guess we would have to try getting a camping trip together, but now with winter and all...

Re: Space Station residents to drink recycled urine
Hehehehehehe.... I noticed on GoogleEarth, that Sacramento is surrounded by hills/desert with little habitation - depending on which of the city you live in, you could always have a night-drive for an hour or so. That should take you far enough away from the lights to see lots of stars/satellites/planes/UFO's. Take blankets and a thermos of hot drink though, clear nights = cold temperatures!
Hopefully, there'll be so many stars, you'll have a job to see the black bits in-between them
