The Big Shake

People in southern California dropped simultaneously to ground Thursday morning, huddled under tables and held on for about a minute in what is being billed as the largest earthquake drill in history.

I was able to participate in one of the drills at a facility that actually practiced emergency triage and I must say, if the big one hits, we're screwed. Doctors and nurses don't have a clue what to do in an emergency. If there is a disaster just pray an Emergeny Medical Service person is around.

Re: The Big Shake

I always find drill amazing because in my area they take for granted that everybody in charge of everythng will survive the disaster.

IMO, the reality is all the the drill does is to instill the perception of security that life will continue after the disaster.
