As you said...you will always be what she gave you and so in keeping her memory alive you'll make the world a little brighter for all of us....it needs all the help it can get starting with her family.

oh yeah (the only reason ashley died was because she was in the hospital), but she fell off her bed onto some scissors and a razor

All hospital issues aside...this is a horrendous sequence of events for anyone to face.

Almost always it would be overwhelming as it could have been at any previous point.

It seems like you two made the best of a very short time...

we did, i saw this coming a week before anyone this happened and i told herthat we might not have forever, but...... and i dont remember the rest but she liked it =]

Yes, i mean atleast i made her life better, and extended it a bit.

(i just found out that for 4 months she had been trying to kill herself , but when i started talking to her she stoped, that made me feel amazing =])

It takes courage and commitment but as you found out is it's own reward...

It happens fast...like a rollercoaster and you know you're alive but taking your chances....

I am so sorry to hear that Ashley passed away. The words you wrote are beautiful. Please talk, laugh, cry. At the risk of sounding like a weirdo, from what I have read here, maybe God sent you to her. If she was trying to take her life before, clearly you gave her reason to want to live. God didn't want her to take her own life.

Even when we live to grow old, our time is but a moment.

I hang out here alot too, so if you want to talk please don't hesitate to contact me. You never get over losing loved ones, but as time passes the memories don't make your heart hurt quite as bad.

My son-in-law passed unexpectedly 2 yrs ago. He was only 28. My daughter and 3 little ones (then 9, 6 & 3 yrs) have had a tough time but the sun is finally starting to peek through the clouds for Amy.
