How much do you pay Bell for 60gb per month?

its a package deal
7mbs internet = 3.8mb/s (they gave a really nice router/modem - 2wire 2701HG - G)
Satellite with about 200 extra channels plus movie network)
Phone (unlimited local, unlimited long distance, I think it only covers US and Canada)

I live with my parents and I think it comes out to about 160/month with tax(13%)

yea but 5mb/s will be around 2mb/s or less so what my parents are paying for is definitely reasonable

oh thanks for the link for the internet usage tool.

As far as I know, Qwest has no cap on us. But then it doesn't even work long enough for us to even be online long enough to get anywhere near any cap.

Yesterday , i visited like 50 websites , read differentes stories , did many different searches with google , downloaded like 3 or 4 singles ( small files ) , and my pc did some updates like antivirus , and operating system, at the end of the day , it's almost half of GB of data that i used.

I don't know how do you do it with only 12 GB.

unbuntu size is almost 1GB , what do you do in that case if you want it ? wait and ask for the cd to come by mail instead of free download ?
Movies have big size ( itune ,netflix) and others like YOUTUBE . i think i personally use 12 Gb in a week.

I've got 8Mbps uncapped and now TimeWarner has unveiled a new 15Mpbs service.

I know I could not live with 12 gb. but I think the point is with movies is they may be eventually offering their own movie service and give you extra bandwidth if you subscribe. I think its more of an anti competition move.

VirginMedia has now introduced a 'Traffic Control' Policy, it's based not so much on how much you DL, more when you DL it. If you overdo the DL's between 4:00PM and midnight, you'll be throttled back to 'No less than 80Kb/s' for the week

I seriously considered it, but Mrs WereBo wants to keep her email address - she's been using it since we went online in '96 and is known internationally by it, for her classes in lace-making.

Well then, my advice would be to start sending them annoying letters. I dunno did they ever limit your your internet speed before?

Re: It's official: Comcast starts 250GB bandwidth caps October 1

When I 1st went broadband (approx 1 year ago), Virgin had a 4-5Gb/month cap, but they removed it and went limitless, soon after. I never had any problems with that - I occasionally went waaaay over limit, but they never seemed to bother about it.

When they added cable TV and landline phone packages and changed the name, VirginMedia seemed to undergo some major policy changes. Not all the changes are for the better, unfortunately - they're a lot more 'mercenary' now, rather than the friendly 'customer first' operation they started out as.
