I can see his point from a legal stand point, but it is some times easier to talk to them to eliminate ones self as being involved in an incident, if truly uninvolved or Innocent. Not to mention, that some info could help in the speedy resolution to the incident and apprehension of a guilty party.

I understand , but it's like walking in thin ice , you never know what can happen , sometimes events can go against you even if you are innocent.

Well, if the "interveiw" is going poorly or in a wrong direction, ones 5th amnd. rights can be invoked at anytime.
