another pbs show question (identify the show)
i remember about another PBS show (before i got to know ZOOM) that was also aimed for slightly older audiences, and it was in a similar format to the new DragonflyTV, except that it was the host that did all of the investigating and interviewing, rather than having other kids send in videos. I watched it some time around 2001, i think, and later on, it was slotted right before ZOOM on KCTS-9. I remember that there was a host called Taylor, and a girl co-host. I think Taylor eventually got replaced by another guy called Jay (or maybe Jay came first). I only remember a couple of segments, the most memorable one being a race car episode. One part i remember was when the host actually performed part of a pit stop work (changing tires/tyres, i think) and took over 40 seconds whereas the professional pit crew member did it in about 10secs. And there was a part that explained the inflation of a tire. And in another episode, it explained something about the operation of commercial trucks. if someone can help me identify what that show is, i would greatly appreciate that. PBS actually used to teach kids about science and stuff, as opposed to these modern shows which either makes no sense at all or just tells about moral values ("how to be a friend", etc). our society is changing so much, and i'm really having a hard time keeping up. anyway, thanks in advance.
