Painkillers

I know quite a number of people who always carry pills, some of them are like mobile drug stores. Next time you think of popping a couple of painkillers when you think you need it consider this article:

Are we all addicted to painkillers?

Personally, I don't really like the idea of having all these artificial chemical in my body. It isn't natural. The best cure for a headache to me is to drink lots of water, it works in most cases.

Re: Painkillers

Unfortunatly I have a heavy addiction to caffine so if I go without water will not do the trick... so I take a motrin to stop the headach from withdrawls. But thankfully its only about once a month I get them so I'm good :)

<In America, codeine and its relatives are banned in all non-prescription drugs>

Not totaly true... you can make a quick hop, skip and jump across the canadian boarder and get these things called triple 2's a codine caffine mix and legally bring them back (limited amount of course and not for resale)

Re: Painkillers

I am using painkillers a lot because I can not focus on work when my head or back hurts...
I am only 24 years old but I ruined myself because I was experimenting with loads of drugs when I was young so I am paying now for being a retard in the past ^^
Even today I use anti-depresants from time to time... I know that is wrong but I can not drink some water and not to be pissed off because of something, need to take some pills to relax a bit...
Cheers...

Only things I use are ibuprofin - and then very rarely.

Re: Painkillers

I am really reluctant to use over the counter drugs, and rarely see my doctor (its been at least 9 years). But I don't get chronic pain; if I did I guess it would be another matter.
For headaches I first try water to rehydrate, and if that doesn't work then caffeine just in case I'm in withdrawal. I drink far too much tea.

Re: Painkillers

Forum rules prevent me from saying what I use as a painkiller, all I can say is that it works a treat

Re: Painkillers

I used to not to use painkillers, including aspirins, but as I have gotten older, I started taking them more - fortunately extra strength aspirins is the strongest I take at this time.
