A guy gets 50 mpg in his Accord by coasting, drafting behind semis and killing the engine in order to save as much as possible on gas.

Just saw it on the local news myself. Interesting concept but not for me.

an early model Geo Metro gets 53 mpg (user reported mileages) WITHOUT those drastic actions. seems that cars get less efficient with each subsequent model. if they'd just cut the power of a civic or corolla back to their 80's or 90's figures while using modern engines, then we'd all be getting 60mpg.
