ok, i am a mod, but the TSF helped me countless times even before i was a mod, so i am voting yes.

(mainly just so i can see the results of the poll)

This forum has helped out on heaps of occasions, and sometimes even before a problem occurs !!! ( It is great reading threads for future reference ) , It is also great to be able to help people out

I learn something new every day just going through the posts seeing where I can help. I've always received quick responses I've for the questions I've posted.

Yup!

I remember the first time I posted here...I got a really fast response, from SPEEDO, no less.....wish he were back.

I learn a lot as well from all of the posts, and as an apprentice on the security team, I've learned quite a bit in that area as well.

YES!!!

This site has helped me alot!!! I know alot more words than before and even some of their meanings. I have more self conidence and can order an order of fries now without suttering. Most of (those people) don't watch me as much. Oh yea, alot of my computer problems have been helped here. I even sit up straighter now!!!

But I still can't speel very well!!!!! guess that's a different forum.

I've learned so much from everybody here, and I know the things I've learned will carry over into my adult life and surely help me in whatever tech field I end up in.

I'm still pretty new to this forum but I did find a solution to my problen quicker than Dell could provide. I love the site so far and will look here first for future problems.

no, it wasnt bill gates.

i read it on slashdot, there is a guy that estimated in 1999 that spyware/adware/viruses will bring the internet to an unusable state in 2006.

now he still says 2006 will be accurate.

i can go find the article. even if it isn't true, it's worth thinking about.

edit: ok, i was wrong, in 2001 he gave it 5 years.

3 years later he still says 2006.

But did he count on TSF removing all the spyware from the computers that are infected.

I bet this guy hasn't heard of Linux- all that kind of stuff seems to disappear when Linux comes to town.

Personally, I'd kind of like to see the "end user" disappear from the internet for good, but it seems like the internet- like all other things public- will always take the form of the lowest common denominator.
