Re: Has TSF Helped you?
I have never had my PC infected by a virus, spyware, or adware until recently (and I've been using computers since the late 80s). Well, I recently was infected by some pop-up adware. I had come across TSF before and thought I'd give it a try. Well, thanks to tetonbob, my system seems to be working great again! :)
THANKS TSF! You guys rock. Wish I could give more, and I hope you're making millions. ;) |

Re: Has TSF Helped you?
Absolutely - it's not just help but awesome follow through and making sure until the very end that my computer restored normalcy. I tried other alternatives before I found out about TSF and when I did I realized I wasted weeks before then.
I even recommended people at work so they will be able to feel comfortable that with this source of tech support is worth it! Thanks sUBs you rock! |

Re: Has TSF Helped you?
I've probably answered more questions than I've asked or searched, but the questions I have had have all found answers here.
In fact, most of the questions I've had were answered by searching for similar problems and following the advice posted in older threads. Keep up the great work, everyone.

Re: Has TSF Helped you?
TFS, in my opinion is probably the best & most well organised tech/non tech forum on the web.
I have learned a lot just by reading threads. I have had great fun in the 'Offline' department. I give a hearty thanks for the owner and all his team. I have appreciated the value of this place in the shortish period I have haunted it. Our donations will help to support and keep this place open. Well done you lot!

Thanks for the advice. You gave me the confidence to return the router to the store and get a replacement. I went for a Netgear 834 which was incredibly easy to install and has worked like a dream for the last 24 hours. It must have been a strange fault on the D-Link because it was so 'soft' I was convinced it had to be a config error. Great service - I shall recommend TSF to my friends!

Re: Has TSF Helped you?
Hey folks; Tech's are not magicians. Some solutions work on some systems and not on others depending on the machine and components and combination of components. Even then for some strange reason different certain software will not work the same for different configerations of machines. Thats why all a technician can do is TRY to help. It's like a doctor you use what information you have that should work but it does not work for all people. Yes thier are some tech's better than others that why you should try multible people if your problem has not been resolved but don't forget to tell the new person your working with what you tried in the past without that information they are starting from scratch and wating your and thier time.

Re: Has TSF Helped you?
it is extremely helpful, especially with the number of enthusiasts and mods. however, i do believe it to have room for improvement (i mean no offense). And the community seems relatively small compared to Techsupportguy.com (where i was banned for saying that they're not helpful at all, with the exception of a few very kind people), which often has thousands of users online at one time. Keep up the good work!
