that's got to be the only major drawback to using 100% volunteer labor.

Certainly helped me!! Took a few goes (mainly because I wasn't giving all the information needed), but everything's working fine now. Really great, because apart fixing it I did learn a teeny-weeny bit as well. [I think I'm just at that stage where I "know just enough to be dangerous" ... Stand by for a post from me in a couple of weeks along the lines of "I just thought I'd fix XXX and now nothing's working ..."]

it is my understanding that only the admin can see who voted what.

even though the software labels me as "admin" i am only an assistant manager, so i still am unable to see it.

however, we have had a few members that were unable to find help, and normally, it's because of one of 2 reasons:

A. they were not clear in their post, and/or made it sound like a spam message

B. they posted only once, and then came back with rude talk about how we took too long. (awww, so sorry, let me refund your 0 cents.)

we try hard. it may not seem like it all the time, but we do try.

i actually meant to be able to see who the 4 people that voted no were.

i think the admin is the only one who can.

Yesssss

Ried was quick to help me with my quandry, and did so within 24 hours. I admit I was a bit hesitant to register at first due to feeling a bit embarrassed about the personal confuser acting up. Much appreciation to MicroBell for posting the 5 Step Process, and, to Ried and the staff members for putting me at ease while feeling welcomed with a smile.

*I do have 3 other pc's setting in a corner of my home office, waiting to be fixed (just minor glitches), but figure they'll be fixed in due time - just to warn the TSF staff.

... The Staff is (always) Right?

Well, Volt-Schwibe, one of 'em needs a hardware "overhaul" (98SE has a floppy drive that flopped and a CD drive which was driven crazy), another (WinXP).. was given to me by my mum prior to her move, and it appears to only run in safe mode on limited programs 'cause I sneezed.... and, ... the last one (WinXP) appears to be lost, for it has no IP address. Unsure which curtain I should pick. :3-ponder:

This site is brilliant, I've only had a few problems with my computer so far (touch wood), but I have always recieved exellent advice which has rectified the problem, I also find the numerous sticks and posts by others usueful even if I am not having a problem at the moment as prevention is better than cure. I have also recieved some excellent advice about getting into programming as well as links to superb resources. I hope that at some stage in the future I will be able to give out advice of my own and help others. All in all, brilliant site.

Oh dear, I think it's time for certain TSF users to put down the mouse, turn off the computer (I know it's hard, you can do it though) and go outside (you heard me, and yes, even in that brisk Scottish weather Glas) to meet some real girls. They really do exist.

Good luck!!
