Not necessarily by compulsion- that would be pretty fascist- but it seems kind of like it's happening every day.

Kind of a technical Darwinism where the users that have no idea what they're putting on their systems are the first ones to encounter problems that keep them from accessing the internet.

I think not only have most of us helped or been helped, I think we have learned a lot about ourselves in some of the offline forums we got into.

I have to say YES!!!! And then yes again. I read threads quite often and I am learning every day. I might need a bigger H/D to store all the programs I have down loaded though. lol. I would be lost as a duck in a shooting gallery.

This place has been the best computer help site that I have ever seen, the only problem I have here is giving more than I receive.

A resounding YES!I love this site, and recommend it to everyone I know.I wish I knew a way to thank you gentlemen for all the hard work and knowledge that is poured into this site on a daily basis!
At this time, all I can do is offer the little bit of help I can,(when I actually feel that one of my suggestions might help),and be thankful for what you have done for me and others.
Have a very merry Christmas and a great New Year.
And hopefully at least 20 years more. Thanks again,
Mikey

absolutely!

Trying to get help from Asus is like screaming down a dark hole! Long before I became a member TSF kept showing up on Asus related Google searches. Finally a light went on in my head and I decided this was THE Asus place. One post here could save days of maddening searches.

no doubt about it TSF has helped me in a pickle. i too have to say i do my best to do some of the helping.. this is one of the best communities out there that i have seen that is enjoyable to be in. i keep checking back here and replying more than once a day. would it be safe to say i could be addicted to posting and viewing on TSF?

Laugh

I figured id say this, beaucse i am delighted. never relised their was post for this, so heres my honest tahughts on TSF:

TSF is a great place. i get so much help, people are SO kind, and they never think ANY question is too simple or stupid, and i know ive asked them, and i know probably how many people have already asked that, and they are friendly everytime. i get help usally within 1 hour. and thats probably how long i would be on tech support tring to decifer throught think Indian accents. (nothing againt Indians, but it is very hard to under stand, if you have ever been on Dell support, you probably know what im talking about)

also the help is thorugh, and evan if i ahve a slight misunderstanding they always talke the time to write a chunk about it. i was first afraid to jump in, but i did, and everyone helped me "swim". and no one every tries to make people feel stupid. this is such a great place, and i have told many of my friends and family to come here with computer problems. it is alos beacuse so many people here have so much knowlage in so many areas. their is help everwhere!

so i would give TSF 5 of 5 stars. for quick, friendly, helpful, enjoyable, easy to understand, made for anyone of any computer knowlage help.

so i thank everyone who has helped me at TSF!
THANKYOU!

Sure has.

Plugging a SATA drive into an XP machine with all the latest patches stopping the machine from booting (with 2 SATA RAID drives working) threw me and I would not have been able to fix it if it were not for here.

Thanks Heaps everyone.
