Re: Has TSF Helped you?
I know next to nothing about computers, and posting here has resulted in quick replies from extremely helpful members who don't mind putting "computer speak" into layman's terms. Thanks to everyone. This is a great site.

hats off
I have had two incidents in the past 6 months that I thought were unsolvable and TSF experts saved the machines, drives and data. Glaswegian and Chemist were both excellent in guiding me through cleaning malware from the drives. It was not only helpful but educational and inspiring. Great work and wonderful service. I am very grateful.

Re: Has TSF Helped you?

I am considering donating but aren't old enough to get a credit card and paypal. |

Re: Has TSF Helped you?
I want to express my gratitude to this website for that the problem mentioned in this post:
[SOLVED] Autoconfiguration IP address has been troubling me for days and I have been searching in my native-speaking pages for days all along, and the solution provided here is the most original and productive one I have ever found, thus makes this website excellent in worlds of both languages. Thank you! |

Re: Has TSF Helped you?
I go to several forums during the day for info, and to give any help I can. {mostly}
I find obscure technical datum that is not in the realm of "tech support" at the likes of HP, Lexmark, etc.. I have 15 yrs of printer repair, {I specialize in high end color} and a lot of the little quirks that happen get figured out by the kind of people that subscribe on this site, as well as TechTips, PrinterTechs, and fixyourownprinter. I pass along any tips and tricks I have learned, and figured out myself. Tip: If you are not a mechanic/tool user, get the extended warranty! |

Re: Has TSF Helped you?
I'm new here and it has helped me with the few posts I've had. I like how it offers help for just about everything, sw, hw, & different OSes.
Keep up the good work. |

Re: Has TSF Helped you?
Actually I must take back what I said about this site "helping " me, this site has never "helped " me, what it has done is flat out saved my A** on more than one occasion.
Help isn't the right question, it should be, "Has the tech support forum saved your tail?". This place is better with Windows O/S's than Microsoft, and the people here have more knowledge than all the hackers, support teams, computer builders, and users in the world.

Re: Has TSF Helped you?
It's called teamwork .. what I don't know the next guy does!
What he doesn't know maybe a visitor does .. we all learn from each other. I doubt if there's a member (whether team or visitor) that doesn't help by contributing that "extra" something that makes all the difference to a request for help. The unfortunate thing is that we are spread thinly and have more requests for help than there is time to help. It's not about Team Members nor about regular contributions from members, it's about how popular the site is and how much time it takes to give the help
