Grin Re: Has TSF Helped you?

Thanks so much for this information!!! I really appreciate it!

I think the problem here was the filters. They weren't attached correctly. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm testing all day today to see if I have drop out problems. Earthlink.net gave us very little info about filters/splitters, what they do, what they're for, etc., and mostly how to attach them to the modem, the walk jack, the phones, so I've just spent much time researching, etc., to try and figure this out.

If you have any info that I could check on about the filters/splitters I would love to see it.

I'm trying to make this all work. And, I think we might be getting much closer to a fix.

Your info will be used if this filter issue doesn't do the trick.

Thanks again!

L.

Re: Has TSF Helped you?

WOW! 24 hour (or less, as I just checked) response is impressive.
I actually figured it out myself, but that certainly isn't always the case. I made a small donation and I'll be back. AND telling all my friends.
Thanks again.

Re: Has TSF Helped you?

Didn't even know you had this forum until one of the TSF crew had it in their quote. Otherwise, I would have done this long before.

I've used many sections of this site and have been able to find hundreds of answers just by searching the threads. But when the answers weren't there, I've posted and received great suggestions.

By far, the best Help/Support forum out there.

Thanks for all the help.

Re: Has TSF Helped you?

TSF has definitely help me! I lurked the forum as a guest for a year before I registered. Just seemed a place to pick up on great tech info as I love to read. I still visit at least 8 favorite tech sites but this site has a different genre when compared. From the simplest problems to in depth diagnostics everyone pitches in. Everyone is treated with a high respect and share the common interest of finding a solution to a problem. The world should work with this kind of camaraderie. When you look at where people are from in their profile sig it really tells you that we are from all countries and walks of life. It is cool that the common interest of computers has brought us all together for a common cause. Especially in these economical challenging times where stress is high and I find myself unemployed, I know I can escape to TSF and occupy my mind. Of course there are some pretty unique posters that make it maddeningly funny at times. I find there is a certain element of addiction to TSF.

Smile Re: Has TSF Helped you?

I rarely have a trouble with my computer, because I'm using deepfreeze and my needs aren't very high. But I learn a lot especially English skill (I'm Vietnamese) by reading everyone's trouble and the solution for it. You all here are very polite in asking for help and answering. There was a forum like this in Vietnam (diendantinhoc.com) but It has been die by a f**cking hacker . Anyway, I've found another good forum, it's you TSF ^^!

That was funny.

Anyway, I have pretty much only received help in 2 areas, with 2 people.
Linderman, and Fox.

Other than that, this site is MUCH SLOWER than googling the letter a, and sifting through the results.

There's nothing funny

TSF is just a little slow, but it doesnt matter at all.

Of course googling the letter a is always faster than loading a webpage <--- The funny is here
