Compared to $3.50 per gallon for regular gas? Do the math: 3.50 / 4.20 = x mpg / 55 mpg*, with x being the gas mileage you'd have to get for using gas to be as cheap as using diesel.

Is it just me, or are diesel prices significantly out pacing gas prices?

After seeing a TurboDiesel running on used fry oil on MythBusters I want ANYTHING that runs on the stuff.

Just don't open the windows, don't use air con, don't use the radio, don't brake, don't over-rev the engine, always travel at the speed that is known to give peak efficiency and make sure the only thing in the car is yourself (the driver) or that number drops quite a lot.
