need input

Hey guy and gals, I am trying to learn as much as my little brain can absorb in this great place. A couple of questions and be easy as I am not nearly as good as the techs that you all ( good lord my southern accent " you all") are. I have been monitoring (for lack of better words) the HTJ file to see if I can find stuff that shouldn't be there. Need less to say if I was helping those in need they would really need some help. But... what is the standard information that should be on a log. And if I don't know what something is where can I find information about a certain "line"?

CTSNKY... one for you the "index.dat suite" is that user friendly? And what other downloads should one have to make it run better? I have down loaded the file, but have not done anything with it yet. I also went to web site and read all the information about it I could last night. I just want an easer way to clean my temp etc.

Thank you'll

I think "user-friendly" is the opinion of the user and a reflection of his/her PC skills. I find it easy to use, but my Dad would be mesmorized by all the shiny things

Please read the Anti-Spyware Section. There are many good ideas and pointers on where to get more info.

Thanks and one more question

Thanks, I used the program and I like it.

I do have one question. I have tried to delete some histories from IE-- in particular the histories in the adderss bar and the histories in the File / open area. I can't seem to clean up these two areas. Any suggestions??

Hello, mdg,

When contronted with an entry that you do not understand, Google, Google, Google. Google part of it, then another part of it, then all of it.

Read carefully, as the tricksters are wiley, and they will make bad things look almost exactly like good things, or they will make them look exactly like good things and put them in a place that they don't belong. Errors are common amongst the inexperienced.
