Haven't used either. I use norton 2005, it has added detection of many adwares and spywares. In between expired virus subscriptions and pay days I use a free one called Avast which seems to work just fine.

I use the free version of AVG from Grisoft, and it is very good

If you are buying, PC-Cillin from Trend Micro and Nod32 seem to be the most highly recommended. I would be using Trend if I wasn't intentionally using free applications to prove the point.

I use the free version of avast anti virus and have had no problems,(touching wood),I am very happy with it.I once had Norton, but alas my xppro was completely defeated by a virus.Thru much work, malcontent, and try try again,I am up and running using only free and xppro firewall for protection.
In addition to Avast by Alwil Software I am also using AdawareSE which is also free.
If either of these companies were to ask me for a review,I would most happily give them one that they would be proud of!
Well thats all fffolks, happy motoring and the best of luck.
Mike

I use Avast on three different computers. It seems to work great.

I'd recommend Kaspersky AV. It doesn't take up as much resources and detects more things than Norton or other AVs.

I use cyberscrub to clean out my computer but I don't know how good there anti-virus works. It's a good product for what I use it for and always clears up alot of room on my hard drive.

I posted here on the XP forum about a utility suite called SystemSuite 5. It includes Trend Micro AV (makers of PC Cillin) as part of its suite. Trend Micro is a leader in the anti-virus market as well. They operate the onilne A-V service call Housecall. ( http://housecall.trendmicro.com/hous...start_corp.asp )

This is my post about SystemSuite ....this suite is $40 and downloadable at BestBuy, link is in the post below.
