just wonder - running a bbs

Just wondering if anyone ever been a sysop of a bbs? If so, what was the name of it? And do you miss it?

i don't get it , do you mean a moderator of a website?

I was thinking of putting in some extra phone lines and running some BBSs in my office back in the middle 80s & running them on semi-premium rate lines but the cost of the cd readers & computers put me off - thank goodness! Because Internet came along and killed off BBSs

That was in the days of 300 baud with a fall-back of 75 baud (I still have my 300 baud high speed (sic) modem somewhere)

I never was a sysop but nearly!
