Can a Swimsuit Be Too Good?

The suit that's turned the swim world on its head.Records are falling to competitors wearing Speedo's new LZR Racer. Critics say it constitutes an unfair advantage.

Re: Can a Swimsuit Be Too Good?

the suits are only as good as the wearer. As the article says all athletes have access to the suit. Just because they signed a contract with other manufacturers imo, is not a good enough reason to want to banned the suit.

If you are a swimmer and have already a contract with puma or reebok , you won't be happy at this time.

Re: Can a Swimsuit Be Too Good?

I view this (no pun intended) as kind of like the beach. The swimsuit (or lack thereof) has nothing to do with it.....what is in that swimsuit is what makes the difference. Moral of story (oh sure) is that if you swim faster, the suit doesn't matter than much and anyone has access.

Re: Can a Swimsuit Be Too Good?

Some suits are designed to mimic the skins of our aquatic friends. This allows for better fluid dynamics so the swimmer gets more from each stroke.

Re: Can a Swimsuit Be Too Good?

Why don't puma and reebok come out with a suit of similar quality? That would negate the need to ban the suit!

PROtip: If you sign a contract with a company for SWIMSUITS and don't SELL THEM then it's time to re-evaluate your life.

Good for speedo, let the others go back into developement.

I still would not look good in one, much like a beached whale, people would be trying to push me back to sea!
