Mac is the first to fall in Pwn2Own hack contest

A brand-new MacBook Air running a fully patched version of Leopard was the first to fall in a contest that pitted the security of machines running OS X, Vista and Linux. The exploit took less than two minutes to pull off.

hehe need to show this to some people who need to face reality. alot of people i know are so hardcore mac fans, they dont accept anything. one said that the majority of macs out there on the market run penryn. this was like a week after penryn came out. biggest joke ever... even now the majority isnt...

he broke in with safari on the second day of competition. So the os itself is good since none tried to break in on the first day. Just some of the additional features were not so good.

I just came to make the same thread .. but found mimo had beaten me to it ...

just remember that there is no such thing as 100% secure .. there will ALWAYS be an open window for the determined person to find and exploit!!
It's like placing security on your house, car or belongings... security measures are a deterrent not a foolproof plan to prevent someone from doing anything they shouldn't. The idea being to discourage attempts by making it extremely difficult so the "attacker" gives up and goes elsewhere where it may be easier ..
