Hobbies

So other then computers and/or gaming, what other hobbies/activities do you participate in when not working.

I last year found a new fun hobby as a techie that involves gadget and the out doors it is called Geocaching and basically it is using a handheld gps unit to find hidden treasures around the world. Many are located in near by parks. I have found this is a great activity that opens up your eyes to the unexplored world around you and it is fairly inexpensive to get in to. For more info Geocaching Official Website

So that is what I do one my spare time, how a bout you

Apart from TSF?

I love to drive, don't know if I can call that a hobby though.

I like tinkering with cars in the free time. Last weekend my dad and I rebuilt and replaced a carbouretor on a 1974 MG Midget.

Travel
Dodging the wife is an art .. one that I have had plenty of practice at but she is more devious than I am so I find myself (against all my instincts) getting involved in exactly those things I didn't want to ..

The only travel I get to do these days is the 2 mile (3.2km) walk into work each day and then the walk back again .. at least it sort of keeps me fit .. my days of gallivanting for work seem to be over although it was good whilst it lasted

I too like photography and have a tendency to want to wander off with my camera (especially if I am on my own) climb hills and high structures to get "special" shots. I prefer to be alone for my walks anyway , I still walk twice as fast as my nearest & dearest although I realise that I am somewhat slower than I used to be ..

Most evenings these days I seem to get home, eat then sit at the PC to multiplex between studying (an evil pastime inflicted upon me by my employer for his own devious reasons) and writing absurd comments to off-line threads to break the monotony of studying and subsequent word blindness (a situation that I realise I go through quite often when I find that I have reached the end of a page without remembering a word of what I have just read!!) But I have to remember that it's a great excuse to Dodge the wife .. along with "I have to learn Linux" which was last years hobby, temporarily put on hold ..

OK .. I'll go quietly now .. back to the Reading & Dodging .. Washing Up's done and "She's" gone to bed to watch TV ...

That's during the first 10 years of co-habitation .. the less you know about your hobby the more you need to learn .. the more you learn, the less you need the hobby

B-strings don't like me - they break all the time.

(check the bridge - might be uneven)

I would say that you are

Hobbies, well TSF, Football (AFL), watching movies, playing sports, spending time with girlfriend (takes up most time now , but I like it lol)

Sports I like is AFL, Table tennis, badminton, Basketball, Squash and soccer. I am also playing netball now . I went to watch my girlfirend play, they were short a player, I agreed to play (after some nagging ), the coach liked me, now I am playing every week .
