Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good free web hosting site, Mimo2005 said megaupload.com but can't get my head round it, not very user friendly at all.

Just wanna post a large text file but only post the link in these forums.

There are dozens out there ,all free but with limitations for some.( size or/and limited time)

Hotlinkfiles is very stable, while BoxStr is less stable. Both seem to use the same software, but BoxStr has a 'better' deal. Both are free.

check with your isp, most have free webspace available

well it may not be free but they might give you increased webspace for a small monthly sum ..
My ISP does a Virtual Disk (100MB) @ € 2,98

very handy for storing temporary files which can be public or private

Nah I wasn't Drunk. You know you to actually own your own domain and BASIC hosting is very cheap. I pay $8.00 a year for a domain name and $6.00 a month for hosting over at Godaddy.

Thanks mate, maybe one day when i think i have learned more than a miniscule fraction of computing this info will be handy but at the moment i just want to serve the purpose at hand.

Also, the item i am wanting to post may yet end up on TSF in some form, a friend is checking it out as we speak.
